The artist submission deadline for Tallinn Music Week 2015 is next Monday 1st Dec. It is also the last day to secure the TMW delegate’s accreditation at the special “early bird” price of 100€. The seventh edition of Tallinn Music Week festival will take place in Tallinn, Estonia on 25th-28th March 2015.
The mission of Tallinn Music Week is to enhance the international development of local music industry and to promote Tallinn and Estonia as an exciting cultural tourism destination. As of lately, British daily The Guardian and Sunday paper The Observer have contributed to the mission by picking the top 5 music festivals in the world for winter breaks, among them Tallinn Music Week.
„Tallinn Music Week is always opened by Estonia’s rock-digging president Toomas Hendrik Ilves, who has been known to quote PJ Harvey and Jello Biafra in his annual festival speech,“the Guardian said.
Tallinn Music Week is one of the biggest indoor music festivals in the Nordic-Baltic region, bringing more than 200 local and international acts and an enthusiastic audience of around 20,000 to the capital of Estonia for three days of music – from metal to pop, from classical to dance, from young upstarts to established crowd-pleasers. The festival lineup is put together on the basis of artist applications received by 1st Dec by a broad team of local music experts.
Artist applications must be submitted by Monday, Dec 1st: http://tmw.ee/est_artist_register_2015.php
Tallinn Music Week’s two-day music industry conference with its top international and local speakers, traditionally covers a wide range of topics from local cultural policy and regional cooperation to global music business models. Each year’s conference also hosts a “celebrity talk” with a music industry legend and the traditional opening speech of Tallinn Music Week by Estonian president, Toomas Hendrik Ilves is always a special treat to look forward to.
The special “Early Bird” offer for the delegate’s pass runs until Monday, Dec 1st: http://tmw.ee/register_2015n.php
